Just who is LouisAnn Image Impressions?
Photography came early--actually in my pre-teens, long before the digital, have-it-now age. My first "professional" photographic experience came in the mid 70's shooting weddings with my new bride (whom I affectionately nicknamed "Red") standing in as assistant. It was then we became casually known as LouisAnn Studios.
As time went by, we both pursued other professional career interests and raised two children, one now a successful graphic artist, the other a practicing civil engineer. It seems creativity in one form or another has always been in the blood and no question, it was inherited downstream.
Enter the digital age of photography, and a passionate hobby begins to florish into another fledgling business opportunity as we near retirement. Not having issue with change, we've welcomed this new found ability to capture the pixels in our world, the light, the shadow, the colors. Further, not being necessarily "traditionalist," we have been known to alter reality in the virtual darkroom of editing software. It is a wonderful thing. The focus of our work has always been more toward the inanimate. We have an appreciation for the shape and form in the engineered creations of man: architectural/structural, automotive, marine. Put all this into the world around us, and we're at home behind the lens - hopefully to capture an image... in honor of reality.
We're also avid Corvette enthusiasts and have done several design jobs for car show promotions, tin signs, logo developent, t-shirts and such. We work during our travels - camera in hand most of the time, looking to "Capture The Light In Life." Currently, we are also experimenting with small run custom book publishing - primarily Coffee Table Photo works concentrating on historic Route 66 and travel in the Mediterranean region of the world.
