Contri Date: Thanksgiving - November 25, 2010 - Happy Thanksgiving to all! - Was thinking about the things that happened in the last year that we were thankful for that could be honored with a daily post. Every day we are thankful for family, good health, a bountiful table and happiness, among a host of other things. Then, a thought of some of God's greatest works we've been able to visit this past year came to mind.. and Bryce stood first. Of all the things given thanks for every day - we probably need to give a hardy 'Thanks' to our God for creating this wonderful place and further, for blessing Red and I with the good fortune and opportunity to have actually been able to travel there this year. We know there's a lot of beautiful places on this planet that are regarded as someone's favorite but Bryce will just have to be ours. For the last few images on the last day we were there, we set up the tripod and camera to prepare for the rapid evolution of color that would come over the few remaining minutes of light. The coolness of evening a mile and a half above sea level was setting in. Only the most gentle of natures sounds fell on our ears. Nature's sweet aromas wafted in the soft remnants of the breeze. This was true peace and tranquility. Then, this unforgettable scene came before our lens. So, among all the things in life we are thankful for we will include the memory of this magical evening - it will always be one of our favorite gifts. Ah, life at it's fullest and most rewarding.
